Welcome to L’Ombre du Tilleul, our charming guest house in Richebourg, Yvelines. This spacious, fully renovated stone family home is the ideal place to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay in the beautiful Houdanais countryside.
With its authentic character, this tastefully renovated old house combines the charm of traditional architecture with modern comforts. With its four bedrooms, our gîte can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people, offering ample space for families and groups. The warm and friendly atmosphere of the house will seduce you from the moment you arrive.
First floor
The salon
The lounge is a welcoming, spacious 35-square-meter space for comfort and relaxation.
The centerpiece of this room is a magnificent freestone fireplace, adding a touch of rustic charm to the warm ambience. You can gather around the crackling fire and enjoy a pleasant evening with family and friends.
A television is also available for your entertainment. In addition, a card table is available for those who wish to enjoy a friendly game of cards.
The dining room
The 25-square-meter dining room has been designed to comfortably accommodate 12 to 14 guests.
All the necessary crockery is of course provided, so you can enjoy your meals to the full without worrying about the equipment.
We’ve made sure that everything is provided to make your dining experience as convenient and enjoyable as possible.
The kitchen
The fully-equipped kitchen (dishwasher, fridge, freezer, induction hob, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, etc.) in our gîte offers you a functional, modern space on a generous 25 square meters. You’ll find everything you need within easy reach.
The kitchen has a large bay window that opens onto the outside terrace, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the garden.
The downstairs bedroom
The ground-floor bedroom has its own entrance. It is equipped with two single beds, each measuring 90 cm. You’ll find a desk and TV, as well as a closet and shelves to store your personal belongings and keep the room organized.
In addition to its sleeping space, the bedroom also benefits from an adjoining shower room, equipped with a walk-in shower and WC.
Entrance & staircase
The entrance to the gîte welcomes you with elegance, with its sumptuous reconstituted stone staircase leading to the first floor. Both the staircase, known as the “central core staircase”, and the guard rail were made by local craftsmen.
The entrance also features another toilet, conveniently located close to the front door, as well as a closet and coat rack.
Sheets and household linen
We provide bed linen and towels for your stay: sheets, pillowcases, towels and fresh, clean toiletries to make your stay even more enjoyable.
Internet access
To ensure your connectivity and comfort, the gite is equipped with a robust Wi-Fi network that covers the entire house. So you can enjoy a fast, reliable Internet connection in every room of the house.
Second floor
The bearing
The landing is a versatile space that offers both comfort and functionality. Here you’ll find a 90 cm occasional sofa and two armchairs, creating the perfect place to relax.
What’s more, this space is specially equipped for electronic games, offering young and old a dedicated place to have fun. A cupboard is also available to store your belongings, ensuring an organized and uncluttered space.
The blue room
Moving upstairs, you’ll be delighted to discover a spacious bedroom adjacent to a bathroom.
The room is furnished with a 140 cm bed, offering optimal comfort for a good night’s sleep. A large wardrobe is also provided to store your belongings, allowing you to keep the room well organized during your stay. A television is also available.
The bathroom
A real space of relaxation and comfort, the bathroom is equipped with a bathtub where you can relax, a spacious and modern Italian shower is also at your disposal.
A vanity unit with two basins offers practicality and functionality for getting ready and storing your personal belongings. For your comfort, a towel dryer is also at your disposal, allowing you to enjoy warm, soft towels after your bath or shower.
The billiard room
Upstairs, you’ll find the billiard room, an exceptional 35-square-meter entertainment space. The ceiling with its original trusses lends authentic charm to the room. In addition, a double sofa bed is available, offering two extra beds.
There’s also a TV corner with a desk. Plenty of games are available for fun with family and friends. In addition, a library offers a varied selection of books for book lovers.
The beige bedroom
This comfortable room in our guest house is equipped with a 140 cm bed, offering a cozy space to rest after a busy day. A spacious wardrobe is also provided, giving you plenty of space to store your belongings and keep the room tidy.
A television is also available for added peace and relaxation.
The yellow room
The yellow room is located just beyond the billiard room, offering a dedicated area for younger guests. This room is equipped with a 140 cm bed, ideal for two people, as well as a 90 cm bed for an additional child.
Children will have their own private and comfortable space to rest after a fun-filled day. The proximity of the billiard room adds an extra touch of entertainment, offering children an opportunity to have fun and enjoy playtime.
On-site parking
The gîte’s courtyard offers parking for up to four cars in an enclosed, secure area, so you can enjoy your stay in total peace and quiet.
Baby equipment
We’ve also thought of families with babies. We have everything you need for your little one, including a high chair, two cots, a changing table and a stair gate.
